WELCOME NEW VARSITY HEAD COACH AARON OBERSTE!
24 Apr by Matthew Vanderwel
Dear CHANT Family,
I hope this message finds you well and encouraged. It is with great excitement and confidence that we introduce Aaron Oberste as the new Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for our Varsity CHANT Chargers.
This decision is a direct reflection of the New Vision and Culture that we shared at the awards banquet—one centered on intentional leadership, deeper relationships, and a commitment to building young men through faith, accountability, and excellence.
Aaron is a man of deep and genuine faith, and one of his greatest strengths is his ability to build meaningful relationships quickly. He has a natural gift for connecting with athletes, earning their trust, and walking alongside them both on and off the field.
Many of you may already know Aaron as a former CHANT athlete, where he played with passion and purpose. Following his time as a player, he played collegiately and he has spent the past three years coaching at the middle school level, continuing to invest in the lives of young athletes and developing his leadership as a coach.
As he steps into this role, Aaron is committed to fostering an environment defined by faith, brotherhood, and excellence. His vision goes far beyond wins and losses. His heart is to build a program where every player leaves better than they arrived—not just as athletes, but as men, friends, future husbands, and fathers.
Above all, Aaron’s greatest goal is to guide each player toward a deeper and more personal relationship with Christ, understanding that this foundation is what will ultimately shape every other aspect of their lives.
We are incredibly excited about the future of CHANT Football under Aaron’s leadership and confident that God is moving in a powerful way within our program. We ask that you join us in welcoming him, supporting him, and praying for him as he steps into this important role.
Thank you for being such an essential part of the CHANT family.
With gratitude and anticipation,
The CHANT Board
